Overview
Academy Camps is a modern approach to the sports camp experience for today’s athletes age 10-16 interested in improving their skills in the sport they love. All set within a traditional sleepaway experience that prioritizes connections, culture and community. We offer 1 or 2-week sessions that can be combined in any way to fit you summer schedule. In addition to an athlete’s “Academy Sport,” campers receive Performance & Wellness Training, Mindset & Leadership Development and daily programming that includes Traditional Camp & Adventure Activities.

Activities
Our athletes choose one “Academy Sport” – BASKETBALL, LACROSSE, SOCCER, TENNIS, GOLF, VOLLEYBALL, FIELD HOCKEY, BASEBALL, SWIMMING, AMERICAN FOOTBALL, and SQUASH. This will be the focus of their experience as they train with our high-performance coaches, developing the skills and techniques needed to improve on and off the field. To encourage athletic diversity and avoid burnout, the remainder of the daily schedule includes various athletic and adventure activity options – flag football, free swim, floor hockey, team handball, wiffleball, ropes course, climbing wall, weightlifting, speed & agility, spike ball, squash, volleyball, yoga, ultimate frisbee, ping pong, and pickleball to name a few. And every evening, campers compete with their fellow campers in The AC Cup. A session-long event, the entire camp is broken up into two teams – Maize and Blue. Facing off almost every night across a variety of games, our campers will test their athleticism, teamwork and character.

Q&A
The Camper Refund Plan protects parents against the forfeiture of Deposit and Tuition if their camper is withdrawn from the camp, provided that process is initiated by March 15th. After that date, no refunds will be made. Payment for the Refund Plan must be included with the deposit, and this fee is non-refundable.
We conduct a 7-day orientation/training 1 week prior to our campers arriving.
Our technology policy is simple: we are phone and “screen” free. Camp is all about human interaction and being a part of an active and healthy program. One of the great benefits of camp is that it’s a place to unplug. Because of this policy we know our campers will be more engaged and physically active than ever before. While we understand the need and dependency for electronics throughout the year and at school, we strongly believe their presence at camp is unnecessary. We believe an important life skill learned at camp is the ability to navigate minor challenges with support from caring adults other than a camper’s parents. Having an immediate “life line” to home with a mobile phone can sometimes stifle the ability for a child to learn to advocate for themselves and find their voice to communicate their feelings. If your child chooses to bring music to camp, please send them with a basic MP3 player without video capability (Campfire Player, SanDisk, iPod Shuffle, iPod Nano, etc). These relatively inexpensive items will allow your child(ren) to enjoy music at camp while still respecting our policies. Other than one of these devices, no other electronic items are allowed. This includes, but is not limited to laptops, tablets, game consoles, iPod Touches, and smart watches that connect to the internet (i.e. Apple Watch).
