Campers will have the possibility to choose between two academic subjects for the afternoon options for the entire session:
– Public speaking and debate:
For this option campers will work on developing communication skills, allowing children to learn key skills to be more effective communicators. Campers will be challenged to think outside of the box and to have a sharp critical thinking mindset.
– Pre Engineering and STEAM:
For this optional activity, children will work with a range of workshops within engineering, robotics and design, with the opportunity to build an EViE (Electric Vehicle in Education) from Bufori. These vehicles are specifically designed for use in education, allowing students to do it almost independently by following diagrams and schemes work. Over the two-week camp, our students will be working on assembling this vehicle under the guidance of a specialised teacher. They will work with different tools to assemble the chassis, wheels, pedals and steering wheel, and learn how to connect all the electric components to make the car work. This will be complemented with a range of engineering workshops and lessons to hone their creative and skilled minds into the world of engineering.

Our summer camps in Cascais offer an excellent opportunity for students to improve their English fluency. With all camp activities conducted in English, this immersive environment provides ample practice for campers to naturally enhance their communication skills in the language. Furthermore, our highly experienced and qualified teachers and monitors are all fluent English speakers who will actively support language development throughout the camp.
