About Alpengirl Camp

Medical and Emergency Support On-Site First Aid Kits: Each group is equipped with fully stocked first aid kits, including supplies for basic medical needs, wound care, splinting, and emergency medication. Kits are regularly checked and replenished. Emergency Communication: In remote areas, Alpengirl Camp uses satellite communication devices to stay in contact with camp leadership, ensuring quick alerts to emergency services if needed. Health Screenings and Pre-Camp Health Forms Medical Forms: Parents or guardians must complete comprehensive health forms before camp arrival, detailing pre-existing medical conditions, allergies, medications, physical limitations, and vaccination history. This ensures the camp staff can accommodate each camper’s unique health needs. Pre-Camp Communication: The camp works closely with families to ensure all medical information is up-to-date. Chronic conditions such as asthma or diabetes are carefully managed with input from families and healthcare providers. Medication Management: Prescription medications are securely stored and dispensed by trained guides according to the prescribed schedule. Campers may only keep medications with them if directed by camp medical personnel. Safety in Outdoor Activities Safety Briefings: Each activity—such as rock climbing, whitewater rafting, horseback riding, or backpacking—begins with a detailed safety briefing. Campers are taught proper equipment use, safety procedures, and emergency protocols. Activity-Specific Risk Management: High-quality safety gear, such as life jackets and helmets, is provided for all activities. Risk Assessments and Safety Protocols Cornerstone Safety Group: Alpengirl Camp collaborates with Cornerstone Safety Group to develop comprehensive risk and safety protocols across all programming and operations. Weather Monitoring: Weather changes are closely monitored. In cases of extreme weather (e.g., thunderstorms, high winds, extreme heat), activities are adapted or canceled to ensure camper safety. Alpengirl Camp’s commitment to safety and preparedness ensures that campers can enjoy their adventures with confidence and care. What families say

Jenny McCann

“Our experience with AlpenGirl was wonderful. My daughter found the company through a google search and Alpengirl gave us references to make us feel more comfortable. The families we reached out to gave us positive and honest reviews of their experiences. It was a scary experience to send our 12 year old from New Jersey to Seattle but it was worth all the fears. She had a wonderful experience exploring the beautiful nature in Olympic National Park. She was able to face her fears and conquer challenges she would have never experienced. Our daughter developed a sense of confidence, took reasonable risks and developed a new sense of responsibility. It was an experience we both will never forget. Thank you for taking care of her and allowing her this experience.”

“My daughter went on the Montana Lil's trip (8 days) last summer, she had a great time, enjoyed bonding with the other girls and leaders, really loved her leaders! Lots of fun games and skill building activities, along with all of the cool outdoor adventures. Her favorite day was the hike up to the mountain lake. This was her longest time away from us and she really thrived on the trip! 5/5 would recommend to a friend with a teenage daughter!”
