Lenguaventura is a small, owner-run camp organisation based in Tarifa, southern Spain, founded by Irene Weiss, originally from Switzerland and long resident in Tarifa; the company grew out of Spanish language programs for adults started in 1989 and has run its teen summer camp since 2003. Since 2010 Irene has been joined by Adrián Lago, a Madrid-born educator who began as a camp leader and now oversees group leaders, activities and daily operations. The team works with certified watersports instructors and staff trained in youth care, and keeps a 1:10 supervision ratio with 24/7 cover at the residence.
