Joining a Session Waitlist

Updated 7 Sept 2026

If a session is full, you can join its waitlist — and if a spot opens up, we'll email you as soon as we spot it. We check for freed-up spots every half hour.

How to join

When a session is full, the booking panel on the camp page swaps its usual Reserve button for Notify me if a spot opens — provided the camp has its waitlist open for that session. If it hasn't, you'll see Sold out instead.

Joining takes one tap if you're signed in — otherwise you'll be asked to sign in first, then tap it again. You don't need to fill in anything else.

To come off a waitlist, go back to the camp page: under the line confirming you're on it, tap Leave waitlist.

What happens while you're waiting

You're not the only one waiting — the waitlist is ordered by who joined first. Joining the waitlist does not hold a spot for you and does not charge your card; it only means you'll be told first when space becomes available.

The camp can see how many families are waiting and where you sit in the queue — never who you are — until you actually book.

When a spot opens up

Spots open up in three ways: another family cancels, the camp adds capacity, or the camp itself releases spots to its waitlist from its own Waitlist page. Whichever way it happens, the system notifies waitlisted families oldest-first, for as many spots as have actually opened. You'll get an email and a notification.

Once you're notified, you have 48 hours to actually submit a booking request before your priority nudge expires and the spot is offered to the next family. Being notified is a head start, not a hold — if another family submits their booking request first, they get the spot.

After you submit a request

Once you submit a booking request for the spot, it follows the same process as any other booking — the camp reviews it and responds within their normal response window, and nothing is charged until they confirm.
