Is the price per camp or per organisation?

Accepted Answer

Pro and Premium are priced per camp profile. If you operate several camps or locations, you can choose a different plan for each profile. Larger groups can contact us for portfolio pricing and one consolidated agreement.

How does the World Camps Checkout service fee work?

Accepted Answer

A World Camps Checkout service fee applies when a booking is completed through World Camps Checkout: 15% on Marketplace, 9% on Pro and 7% on Premium. Pro and Premium can also receive direct enquiries and booking requests that you handle and charge yourself; these carry 0% World Camps fees. Stripe transaction fees apply separately to payments processed through World Camps Checkout. The Checkout service fee is the World Camps Service Fee described in the Provider Terms, calculated on the gross booking value. Rates are exclusive of VAT: camps based in Switzerland pay 8.1% Swiss VAT on the fee, retained the same way and itemised on their monthly invoice; camps based elsewhere pay no Swiss VAT.

What happens to the Checkout service fee if a booking is cancelled?

If the camp cancels, the service fee is refunded in full to the family together with the rest of the booking value. If the family cancels after the 24-hour grace period, the service fee on captured payments is non-refundable — it covers the booking technology already used. Stripe transaction fees follow Stripe’s own policies. Full details are in the Provider Terms.

What counts as one camp profile?

One profile per camp centre or location. Your programmes live inside the profile as sessions and programme options — an operator with several centres has one profile per centre, and can pick a different plan for each.

Are Stripe transaction fees included in the World Camps Checkout service fee?

Accepted Answer

No. Stripe transaction fees are charged separately for payments processed through World Camps Checkout. The applicable Stripe fees depend on factors such as the payment method, card country and currency. The World Camps Checkout service fee is separate from Stripe's transaction fees.

We run several camps — what does that cost?

Accepted Answer

Each camp profile can have its own plan, so you only upgrade the profiles that need additional visibility or booking features. For larger portfolios, we offer customised volume pricing and a single agreement.

Do you bill monthly?

Accepted Answer

No. Pro and Premium are annual plans, which better reflect the seasonal nature of the camp business.

Question 8

Do I need Stripe?

Accepted Answer

Only if you want to accept payments through World Camps. Pro and Premium can receive direct enquiries and booking requests without Stripe, with payment handled by your camp. World Camps Checkout requires a connected Stripe account for online payments, payouts and refunds.

Question 9

Does a paid plan improve my organic ranking?

Accepted Answer

No. Organic search and category rankings are based on relevance and profile quality, not on the plan you purchase. Pro and Premium provide additional visibility features and promotional opportunities, which are separate from organic rankings.

Question 10

What does the Free Listing include?

Accepted Answer

Your camp remains discoverable on World Camps and you can manage your core information, photos and reviews. Families can also register interest. The Free Listing does not include sessions, prices, availability, direct parent contact or bookings. Interest notifications do not include the family’s direct contact details.
