Welcome to Camp Sloane YMCA

Why we love it

Overview

Camp Sloane YMCA is everything kids are looking for in a summer camp. First is the beautiful camp setting with views of the Berkshires and beyond – kids love being ‘unplugged’ and having the experience of being surrounded by this level of nature. Then there’s the amazing choice of activities – everything from sailing to horseback riding to climbing and dancing. There is so much for campers to choose from, and their days will be filled with fun activities and great new friends, while their nights will be filled with fireside stories, lightning bugs, and s’mores. Sleepaway camp should always be this good, and counselors from all over the world are excited to welcome your child to Camp Sloane this summer!

I think it’s very important for you all to know that our son truly came home a different person after camp this year. Yeah- camp has always been an important experience for our son but this year, camp was just the absolute best thing ever for him. He’s gotten all A’s this past quarter, made varsity on cross country as a freshman, and is starring in a high school show produced by Shakespeare & Company. He’s flourishing socially and is approaching things confidently- something we’ve never seen before. The change is tremendous. We totally credit Camp Sloane for showing him his potential.

This was my granddaughter’s first experience at, not only sleep away camp, but with being away from home for more than two days without family. She had an incredible experience! Thank you. And thank you for keeping camp affordable for me to actually allow me to give it to her!

We wanted to thank everyone at Camp Sloane for a terrific summer. Both of our boys had a great time and especially appreciated the friendly and engaged counselors they had. We know you worked very hard on hiring and it seems like your efforts really paid off. As you know, we have two very different children (!!) and we love that they each feel at home at Sloane.
