  1. Sent our kid in the summer before 5th and 6th grades. Had an absolutely magical experience they spent the rest of the year talking about to everyone who would listen.

  2. This was my 13-year-old son’s first week-long camp away from home and it was a truly transformation experience for him! The space is everything you imagine when you picture the perfect camp in the mountains. The workshops, spaces, and events were all so well tailored for a wide range of interests – every kid will find something they love to do throughout their time at Camp Hidden Meadows. I was impressed with the team that runs this camp, with the counselors, and with their ability to create a space for kids to bond and thrive. My son made so many friends in his short time at camp (he was here for only a week) and he said he cannot wait to come back next year. I can’t recommend Camp Hidden Meadows enough — your children will love it here!

  3. All three of my kids love Camp Hidden Meadows so much that they would stay the whole summer if they could. CHM has a huge variety of activities so there is something for everyone, which is really important when you’re trying to satisfy three kids with different personalities and interests. The staff is top-notch and highly responsive in the months and weeks leading up to camp, which is always appreciated since questions are bound to come up. As a parent and former camp counselor, I feel totally confident sending my kids to CHM knowing that they will have a safe, positive and fun camp experience.

  4. Our daughter has gone for four years, and we call it her happy place. The vibe is great–low-key, fun, old-school, tech-free. Tons of great activities and caring counselors. Can’t recommend it highly enough.

Schedule

The day begins with the thrill of the Polar Bear Plunge for the bold-hearted, while others might savor a few extra cozy minutes in bed. The bell rings for everyone to go to breakfast, followed by Cabin Clean Up. The entire camp gathers for a Morning Assembly to talk about the day, the weather, and all the fun things we have planned. Campers go to 2 morning Workshops with a fruit break in the middle, followed by lunch. After lunch, campers go to their cabins for Rest Hour where they can rest in their bunks for a chance to take a nap, read, journal, or write letters home. After Rest Hour, campers go to 2 afternoon Workshops. We also have a Camper's Choice period with special offerings where campers can choose where they want to go while being supervised and add variety to their day. Camper's Choice is followed by Village Time and Thank You Circle - a time spent with their village/age group - and then dinner. After dinner, there is a special evening program activity every night, then campers get ready for bed and lights out at 9:15 PM to get a good night's sleep before another adventure-filled day tomorrow! On one day each week, campers have the opportunity to go on a "New Adventure" out-of-camp trip.
