Overview
Summer at Delphian Delphian’s summer program offers a balanced approach, combining academic fundamentals and a wide variety of elective options with outdoor activities and cultural experiences, all within a four to six-week program. This residential summer camp is open to children ages 8 to 18. Over 250 courses and classes are offered each summer, providing students the opportunity to get ahead or reinforce knowledge in specific school subjects. Most importantly, students are introduced to a uniquely effective study method developed by L. Ron Hubbard, teaching them how to study any subject—a skill that will benefit them for a lifetime. Afternoon Activities: A wide range of engaging afternoon classes and camps complements the comprehensive academic program, including: – Animation – Boat Building – Ceramics – Theater Arts – Archery – Fine Art Weekend Adventures: Weekends at Delphian include exciting activities such as camping, rafting, beach trips, and sightseeing. These adventures take full advantage of Oregon’s beautiful summer climate and the cultural and scenic attractions of the Pacific Northwest.

Summer at Delphian offers students hands-on learning through afternoon classes and camps that take them beyond the classroom. Each activity invites students to explore new interests or deepen their passions, with opportunities that are both varied and exciting! Choose from activities like animation, boat building, ceramics, theater arts, archery, fine art, and more. Each week, students select multiple classes or a single camp to fully engage in, providing flexibility to try new experiences or focus on existing interests—all while having a fantastic time. There’s something for everyone, whether discovering a new skill or diving deeper into a favorite activity. For those eager to go further, specialized camps are available in diverse subjects. Students can experiment with animation, construct and test a boat on the campus pond, refine acting skills on stage, or create beautiful ceramics. At Delphian, the creative possibilities are endless and thrilling!

ACTION ENGLISH Since 1980, thousands of international students have attended Summer at Delphian where intensive English instruction is offered in beginning, intermediate and advanced English classes. When learning a new language, there is nothing more boring than a textbook. The purpose of language learning includes connecting with others, making new friends and exchanging ideas. This is best done out of the classroom and immersed in the action of communication in the science lab, on the playing field, in the art room, hiking in the hills, building a raft, etc. All these activities have a “living” vocabulary. Let’s live a little; let’s live a lot. Action English is the key to really being READY to communicate. Accommodation & facilities
Campus Life - Facilities Delphian School has nine dormitories—five for boys and four for girls. Each dormitory serves as its own close-knit community. On any given evening, Delphian dorms are filled with activity—students may be reading for an upcoming literature seminar, planning weekend events, or simply relaxing with friends. Each dormitory operates as a team, with students working together to keep their space clean, comfortable, and enjoyable. Resident staff live in designated units within each dorm, fostering a warm, homelike environment. Daily check-ins are conducted by staff in each dorm before bedtime, and younger students are also visited by their personal teacher each evening. Through our student leadership program, members of the student council serve as dorm and bathroom resident assistants under the guidance of the Director of Campus Life. This structure helps to build a supportive community in each dorm and teaches students how to live and work harmoniously with others. Most dorm rooms are double occupancy, with access to shared bathrooms and laundry facilities. With the exception of Dragon Hall—an external girls’ dormitory with a lounge and kitchen facility—all dormitories are housed within the main building. Each dorm room is furnished with single beds (often bunked), dressers, desks, chairs, shelving, and wardrobe space.

Amazing! My two sons loved it. Went for two weeks and had a blast and came back wanting to go back! They were in a safe environment and I felt comfortable sending them.
