The leadership and supervision at Ranum Efterskole during the summer program are designed to ensure a safe and enriching experience for all participants. The program is overseen by a summer school director or program leader, who is responsible for coordinating activities and ensuring the smooth operation of the program. Teachers and activity leaders handle academic sessions, creative workshops, and extracurricular activities. Support staff, including health personnel and administrative staff, are on hand to meet the students’ daily needs and manage any emergencies. Clear communication between students, staff, and parents is essential, and parents are typically kept informed of important events or any issues that arise during the program.

Students must also follow safety guidelines, especially for maritime activities, in line with Danish Maritime Authority regulations. At the camp, mobile phone usage is limited to encourage focus during classes and promote more face-to-face interactions. Phones should not be used during class time, from 8 AM to 2 PM. Outside of class hours, students are allowed to use their phones, but we encourage them to engage with each other and make the most of their time in a shared, social environment. Our goal is to help students connect more deeply with one another, minimizing distractions and fostering meaningful relationships without the constant pull of technology.
