Deleting Your Account

Updated 4 Sept 2026

You can permanently delete your World Camps account and personal data at any time. This article explains exactly what happens.

How to request deletion

Go to Account → Settings → Data & privacy, then under Delete account choose Delete. You'll be asked to confirm — this cannot be undone once it completes.

If you have no active booking

Your request is carried out straight away. Your profile, your children's details (including any medical information), your wishlists, and your identifying details on any past reviews are all anonymised or removed. Your reviews themselves stay up — the rating and text help other families — but they're no longer linked to you by name.

If you have an active booking

Your request is queued rather than actioned immediately. This includes any booking that's still pending, accepted, paid, in progress, or under payment or dispute review. As soon as those bookings finish their natural course — the camp happens, or the booking is cancelled or declined — your deletion completes automatically. You don't need to do anything further or check back; it happens on its own.

What is never deleted

Booking and payment records connected to your account are kept, without your name or other identifying details attached, for 10 years. This isn't optional — Swiss commercial law requires it. These records are kept without your name, contact details or your children's details attached. They exist purely as financial records and are not used to contact you or to rebuild your profile.

This cannot be undone

Once your deletion completes, there is no way to recover your account, your children's profiles, or your booking history. If you think you might want to book again later, consider whether you'd rather just stop using the account instead of deleting it.
