Sea Horse Ranch is a gated luxury resort community on the North Coast of the Dominican Republic, begun in the 1990s shortly after the Puerto Plata international airport opened and the first professionally planned community of its kind on the coast. Spread over 250 acres of lush grounds in Cabarete, it combines one hundred and ten luxury villas with an oceanfront Beach Club, seaside pools, a fully-staffed Equestrian Center and a five-court Tennis Club, all watched over by 24-hour security. Alongside its rentals and property services, the resort hosts a summer day camp for local and visiting children each year — described as the longest-running summer day camp in the area, created almost twenty years ago — and supports community and cultural work including FEDUJAZZ, the Dominican Republic Jazz Festival's music education foundation.
