Add-ons, Discounts and Mandatory Fees
Updated 4 Sept 2026
The Pricing rules page (Camps → Pricing rules) has three tools for shaping what a family actually pays: add-ons, discounts, and mandatory fees. Add-ons are set up here and then enabled per camp in the camp editor.
Add-ons
Add-ons are optional extras a family can choose during booking — things like airport transfers, equipment rental, or a special activity. Families see them on the Options step of booking and can skip them entirely, or add several. Some add-ons can be bought in a quantity (like private lessons), up to a maximum you set.
Discounts
Discounts lower a family's total — for example, a promo code, a sibling discount, or an early-booking rate. A family applies a promo code themselves at checkout; other discount types apply automatically when a booking qualifies.
Mandatory fees
Mandatory fees are the opposite of a discount: an amount always added once per booking — either a one-off amount or a per-week amount that scales with how long the session runs — and never discounted away — for example, an equipment fee or a local tax you're required to collect. Families see mandatory fees itemised in their price breakdown before they pay, never as a surprise at the end.
Where to manage all three
All three live together on the Pricing rules page, under the Add-ons & extras, Discounts and Mandatory fees blocks (the jump links read Add-ons · Discounts · Fees).
