Campamento Internacional Sancelso
In case of cancellation the participant must pay: 50% of the fee if the withdrawal is communicated in writing up to 30 days before the beginning of the stay or 100% of the fee if the withdrawal is communicated in writing after that date.
Managers are always present at the facility for the entire duration of the Camp. The counsellors follow the children all day, from wake-up time to bedtime, and during the night they will sleep on the same floor as participants of their own group, often right beside in the next room. An exception is for counsellors of the youngest group (6-8 years old) who will sleep in the room with the children. This makes it possible to ensure constant assistance even at night.
Each year we welcome staff members coming from countries all over the world and with diverse qualifications: such as mother tongue English teachers, Celta, IELTS, TOEFL or similar certified teachers, P.E. and Science tutors, Sport tutors and mountain-lovers with previous summer camp experience.
A Criminal Record Certificate is a prerequisite without which we do not hire our counsellors.
Each year we work with counsellors we have known for a long time. As for new staff members, they are selected through careful interviews and receive manuals and materials to prepare themselves in the best possible way. Before the Camp begins, an online training is done and finally with all the information gathered we very carefully decide, based on each person’s skills and experience, the pairs of counsellors who will work together; this way, a new member is always associated with an experienced one.
Our Camp is purpose-built to promote diversity and inclusion at all levels! The staff and kids come from all over the world and enjoy the wonderful Camp experience by living all together and sharing every moment as one big community.
We are very attentive to safety and respect for rules. Our counsellors are always very careful to the mental and physical well-being of the participants, preventing unpleasant and dangerous situations. In terms of food, we are also always mindful: the kitchen is in-house, so we have no problems with accommodating special diets for allergies and intolerances or diets for any special needs. Our Rules and Regulations can be downloaded from the Download Area of our website and must be approved by the parents at the time of enrollment.
During the children’s stay at the camp, their mobile phones will always be kept and charged in the secretary’s office. Participants will only be able to use them to call home one hour per day, between about 8 p.m. and 9 p.m., after dinner and before the evening activities. We believe that this policy of ours is essential to ensure that the children can enjoy themselves and learn fully during their holiday, without distractions and in complete safety. In case of emergency, it will be our concern to establish immediate telephone contact with the parents.

Our holidays for kids and teenagers aim at language learning, cultural integration and creating new friendships between young people from different countries. We have a long family history in education: now in our fourth generation, we have been organizing summer camps in Italy since 1955! Our decades of experience have led us to choose as our teaching method playful-recreational routines such as sports, role-playing, arts, crafts, science and cooking workshops, all taught in English by native, Italian and foreign counsellors with Celta, IELTS,TOEFL or similar certifications: this allows us to create a truly international atmosphere! Living in the mountains is an extraordinary experience, which is why we offer a nature and outdoors vacation where children learn to grasp and appreciate the beauty of nature and behave consciously in a stimulating environment. A typical day at Camp includes: hiking, sports and group activities such as paintball, e-biking, horseback riding, indoor climbing, archery, and visits to the adventure park and water park. For this reason, our Camp also proves to be a time of authentic growth in close contact with nature! The program varies depending on the age of the participants, but the common goal is to help them grow up more open-minded, sporty, safe, aware and environmentally friendly. Our counsellors follow children and tees with great dedication, putting health and safety first. During games, activities and life together, participants will have the opportunity to learn and get to know the Italian language and culture, which will be assimilated spontaneously and naturally: we firmly believe in the idea of cultural exchange to form true citizens of the world!
International Camp Sancelso takes place at Villa Sancelso in Castione della Presolana, a small village at 900m altitude at the base of the Presolana Massif and Mount Pora. Our Villa and the surrounding 14.000 m² of grounds and sports facilities are completely reserved for kids throughout the duration of the summer camp. Located at the beginning of the village, it is in a quiet position but at the same time very close to the center to which it is also connected by a safe pedestrian path in the middle of the green. The Villa area is right next to the Orobie Bergamasche Regional Park, a splendid mountain park with peaks of over 3.000m and extensive valleys and forests. It is the largest high-nature protected area in all of Lombardy, a magnificent and fascinating green zone. Participants are accommodated in 4 bed rooms with private bathrooms, divided M/F and reserved for participants of the same group and therefore of the same age. Villa Sancelso has a living room on the ground floor, an open-plan living room with a window overlooking the courtyard and the trees in the park, a spacious dining room with a large fireplace; on the floors there is, a reading room, a fitness/psychomotricity room, a study/projection room, three comfortable and reserved activity rooms, and in the basement a large tavern/games room (table tennis, table football) also designed for theatre performances, discos and film screenings! The entire Villa is served by a practical lift that connects all the floors.Outside, a grass football pitch and a beautiful beach volleyball court. What is impressive about the Villa is its space, which allows large groups of children and teens to be comfortably accommodated in an environment that is elegant, comfortable and, above all, designed for them! The Villa is easily accessible from the major cities of Northern Italy: it is in fact situated 90 Km from Milan, 70 Km from Brescia and only 40 Km from the city of Bergamo.
Life at International Camp Sancelso is full of surprises and fun: between indoor climbing, paintball, mountain hiking and so much more to discover, there will never be time to become bored!Campers will experience entertaining moments throughout each day, such as theme parties and games, show preparation, face painting, talent performances, team games, karaoke, bonfires and discos...and at the end of each camp session the long-awaited Final Ball!Our program is full of excursions, sports and outdoor activities in a relaxed atmosphere with many new friends; all in total safety, guided by experienced and knowledgeable counsellors. Bad weather? No problem, our activities will not stop! Between a wide range of indoor sports and activities, art and creative workshops, drawing, decorating, tie dye, collecting flowers and leaves for the herbarium...children and teens will create many little memories of a truly unique summer camp in Italy!Kids or teenagers? As one grows up, tastes and needs change, which is why at International Camp Sancelso children and teens are divided into groups according to their age; this is very important to us because it allows each participant to experience the Camp together with their peers, with activities and rhythms suited to each age group.All in an atmosphere of sharing, friendship and cooperation, where autonomy is encouraged and smartphone use limited!
All activities are conducted in English thanks to the presence of teachers of different nationalities and participants from all over the world: This creates an atmosphere of great cultural integration, a fundamental value that we tend to put first in every situation.We believe that the Camp experience is a special opportunity to prepare oneself in order to better experience the contemporary world and its cultural fluidity.
Italian lessons (language and culture) will be held on request for foreign participants.
Every week we dedicate two days to external sports activities (a choice of paintball, e-bike, adventure park, combo: archery + summer bob, indoor climbing, water park, horse riding experience and lake discovery by canoe), two days to hiking in the mountains and two days to activities, sports and games at the facility. Our program includes activities every evening, chosen according to the age of the participants, and in the two-week periods a cultural tour.
