Descripción general
Welcome to International Language Camps, where we combine the best of language learning with thrilling adventures in the heart of the French Alps. Since 1996, our camps have been more than just a place to study—they are a place to grow, explore, and create lifelong memories. With over 25 years of experience, we are dedicated to offering a unique summer experience that brings together children from all over the world to learn, play, and build friendships that cross borders.
What Makes Us Stand Out?
Total Language Immersion:
At International Language Camps, we believe that the best way to learn a language is to live it. Our programs are designed to immerse campers in English or French through daily interactions, activities, and real-life situations. Led by passionate native-speaking teachers, our lessons go beyond the classroom, helping children gain confidence and fluency by practicing their skills in natural, engaging settings.
Small Groups for Personalized Attention:
Learning is most effective when it’s tailored to the individual. That’s why we keep our group sizes small, with no more than 8 students per class. This ensures personalized attention, faster progress, and a stronger bond between campers and instructors. Each child gets the support they need to reach their full potential.
A Safe and Supportive Environment:
The well-being and safety of our campers are our top priorities. With a 1:5 adult-to-child ratio, constant supervision, and professional staff, we make sure every child feels secure and comfortable. Our caring team is always there to encourage, support, and make every camper feel at home.
A Dynamic Mix of Activities:
We know that summer camp is not just about learning—it’s about having fun! That’s why our programs feature a wide range of exciting activities that appeal to all interests and ages. From sports like rafting, climbing, and mountain biking to creative workshops, nature excursions, and cultural visits, every day at our camp is a new adventure. Our carefully planned activities are designed to encourage teamwork, communication, and confidence, all while having a great time.
A Multicultural Community:
One of the greatest strengths of International Language Camps is the diverse, multicultural environment we provide. Campers come from all corners of the world, bringing their unique cultures, languages, and perspectives. This diversity enriches the experience, teaching children to embrace differences and form friendships that last far beyond the summer. Here, language becomes a bridge that connects cultures, fostering a spirit of unity and mutual understanding.
Creating Unforgettable Memories:
At International Language Camps, we don’t just teach languages; we create unforgettable experiences. Whether it’s conquering a mountain trail, learning to make cheese at a local farm, or dancing under the stars at our Friday night party, every moment is designed to build confidence, spark curiosity, and leave campers with stories they’ll cherish for years to come.
More Than Just a Summer Camp:
Our mission goes beyond language education. We aim to inspire, challenge, and empower every child to step out of their comfort zone, discover new passions, and grow into well-rounded individuals. We strive to make every summer at International Language Camps a journey of discovery, adventure, and personal growth.
Join us for an exceptional summer experience where learning meets adventure, and where every child finds their voice, their friends, and their sense of adventure.

Academic Programs at International Language Camps
At International Language Camps, we offer dynamic and engaging language programs that immerse campers in either English or French, making language learning a natural and enjoyable experience. Our academic programs are designed for children and teenagers aged 6 to 16, focusing on practical communication skills that they can use both during their stay and long after they return home.
Here’s what sets our language courses apart:
Key Features of Our Academic Programs:
– Total Language Immersion: We believe that the best way to learn a language is to live it. Our campers are immersed in English or French throughout the day, not just during lessons, but also through various activities, mealtimes, and social events. This creates a supportive environment where speaking and understanding the language becomes second nature.
– Small Class Sizes for Personalized Learning: To ensure effective learning, we keep our class sizes small, with a maximum of 8 students per group. This allows for more personalized attention from our passionate, native-speaking teachers, who adapt their teaching methods to meet each camper’s needs. Whether a beginner or more advanced, every child receives the support they need to progress quickly and confidently.
– Interactive and Fun Lessons: Our language courses go beyond traditional classroom teaching. We focus on interactive, hands-on learning through games, role-playing, creative projects, and dynamic group activities. This method not only makes lessons enjoyable but also encourages children to use the language actively, boosting their confidence and fluency.
– Daily Practice in Real-Life Contexts: Language skills improve best when they are practiced in real-life situations. Our campers are encouraged to communicate in their chosen language throughout the day, whether they are participating in a team sport, creating art, or exploring the local culture during an excursion. This daily practice helps build fluency and reinforces what they learn in class.
– Qualified Native-Speaking Teachers: Our experienced teachers are all native speakers, dedicated to providing a fun and engaging learning experience. They are skilled at creating a warm, supportive atmosphere that encourages students to take risks, make mistakes, and grow in their language skills.
– Optional Intensive Language Courses: For campers who want to focus even more on their language skills, we offer additional intensive courses that include extra lessons each week. These sessions allow for deeper learning and personalized attention, accelerating language acquisition in a short period of time.
Why Choose Our Academic Programs?
Our language programs are not about memorizing grammar rules or vocabulary lists—they’re about bringing the language to life. Through immersive activities, constant interaction, and a supportive multicultural environment, children learn to communicate naturally and confidently. Our goal is to give campers the tools they need to express themselves clearly and creatively, opening up new opportunities for learning, friendships, and personal growth.
Clarification on Our Program Focus:
While language learning is a central part of our camps, our focus is on creating a holistic experience that balances education with adventure. Our programs are designed to nurture not only linguistic skills but also teamwork, leadership, creativity, and self-confidence. We believe that language is not just a subject to be studied, but a gateway to understanding different cultures, forming lasting connections, and exploring the world.
lecciones de idiomas
Maximum 8 per group.
During the morning, we offer English and French lessons based on the programs designed for the University of Cambridge and Alliance Française examinations, depending on the level of the students. As a year-round language school, this is our specialty. All programs (except the Intense Mountain week) include 15 hours of language workshops per week.
Our workshops are:
– Lively and fun – participation is an obligation!
– In small groups (maximum 8 per group).
– Taught by native speakers who are qualified and experienced in the programs designed for the Cambridge Assessment English and Alliance Française examinations.
– Focused on giving the campers confidence to communicate in a foreign language.
Every morning, the campers have 3 separate language workshops (according to their language level) focusing on the language, communication, and drama. During the drama workshop, the campers work on a play or sketches in their chosen foreign language to perform at the end of the week.
15 horas de lecciones por semana.
