Übersicht
Teen Camp ist ein englisches Sommerschulprogramm, bei dem Jugendliche aus der ganzen Welt zusammenkommen, um ihr Englisch zu verbessern und viel Spaß zu haben!
Unterkunft:
Schloss Assumburg ist die wunderbare Heimat unseres Teen Camps. Das Schloss ist bezaubernd im Grünen gelegen, mit schönen französischen Gärten. Die Schlafzimmer befinden sich im Schloss. Alle Zimmer haben ein eigenes Bad.
Im Restaurant des Schlosses werden alle Mahlzeiten serviert. Und diese Mahlzeiten sind gut!!!
Nach dem TeenCamp kann man wirklich sagen, dass man in einem Schloss gewohnt hat!
Das Schloss liegt in der Nähe des Strandes und es dauert nur 30 Minuten bis Amsterdam.
Grammatik und Wortschatz:
Jeden Tag werden 4 Stunden auf Grammatik und Vokabeln verwendet. Spezifische Teile der englischen Grammatik werden intensiv erarbeitet. Unsere spezialisierten Lehrer erklären alles im Detail. In den kleinen Gruppen ist genügend Raum für individuelle Erklärungen. Die englische Sprache ist bekannt für ihre Nuancen. Ein breiter Wortschatz ist wünschenswert, um eine nuancierte Wortwahl treffen zu können.
Kommunikation und Präsentation:
Die Interaktion ist vielleicht der schwierigste Teil der englischen Sprache. Das gesamte Faktenwissen wird in der Kommunikation verwendet. Das im Grammatik- und Wortschatzunterricht erworbene Wissen wird hier genutzt. Mit Hilfe von Kommunikationsaufgaben wird den Schülern beigebracht, wie sie ihr Wissen am besten einsetzen können. Im Unterricht wird auch auf eine kurze Präsentation in Englisch hingearbeitet.
Sport und Aktivitäten:
Das gesamte Nachmittagsprogramm besteht aus Sport, Spaß und Teambuilding. Bei den Aktivitäten stehen vor allem der Spaß und die Teamleistung im Vordergrund. Bewegung ist natürlich auch sehr gesund. Die Aktivitäten bieten auch die Möglichkeit, Englisch auf entspannte Art und Weise anzuwenden.
Abendprogramm:
Nach dem Abendessen ist vor allem Zeit zur Entspannung. Es gibt viel Zeit, um mit den anderen Teilnehmern im oder um das Schloss oder Landhaus zu entspannen. Es werden interaktive Spiele gespielt, Filme können angeschaut werden, die Teilnehmer halten ihre Präsentationen und es gibt auch einen bunten Abend.
Wochenendprogramm in Amsterdam:
Wir bringen die Teilnehmer, die zwei Wochen bleiben, am Wochenende nach Amsterdam. Am Samstag bekommen sie dort ein Überraschungsprogramm und am Abend gehen sie im Zentrum der Stadt essen. Nachdem sie die Nacht in Amsterdam verbracht haben, bleibt sonntags noch genügend Zeit zum Einkaufen. Danach kehrt die Gruppe zum Schloss zurück, um den Start der zweiten Woche zu erleben.
Unser Personal ist 24 Stunden am Tag bei den Jugendlichen.

Weekend programme in Amsterdam is included for those who stay for two weeks: a weekend in the capital of the Netherlands. The program consists of a good mix of culture, shopping, history, fun and excitement. The weekend you will always remember!

Unterkunft & Einrichtungen
Assumburg Castle is the beautiful Teen Camp location.
The entire program takes place in and around this impressive castle.
All bedrooms and classrooms are in the castle and so is the restaurant. Most afternoon activities take place around the castle.
All bedrooms have their own bathroom.
Boys and girls are of course separated in the bedrooms.
There is also a division by age.
Bed linen is provided
The professional kitchen of the castle provides the 3 main meals, this is always in buffet form so that multiple choices are possible. All dietary requirements are possible in consultation.
The Teen Camp staff provides all snacks and drinks in between.

One of the teachers at Teen Camp is the head teacher.
He or she is responsible for situations regarding the students, teachers and the execution of the programme during the camp period.
The castle has its own crew and is responsible for housekeeping, food and drinks and security.
If situations arise, they are resolved by the staff of Teen Camp and the staff of the castle.
In case of a serious problem, Teen Camp management comes to the castle and will take over the situation.
Our teachers ensure that the camp programme continues for the participants.
Management is almost 24/7 available by phone for both the head teacher and the parents/family members of participants.
All teachers and counsellors ar enthusiastic, helpful, kind, energetic and above all happy to teach the teenagers
At Teen Camp we have our best and highest qualified teachers from the entire Summer Camp staff.
The staff is an international team of experienced teachers and camp counsellors.
All teachers and counsellors have also had a training at the ProEnglish Academy.
In addition to screenings and interviews, the Teen Camp staff also had a multi-day internal training at the Pro English Academy.
During these moments we have a closer look on our staff and see how they deal with situations.
This training also includes a first aid programme
All teachers and counsellors must submit a Certificate of Good Conduct. They must also sign the privacy policy and security regulations.

By the end of every camp week management checks in and evaluates the week with the counselors, teachers and castle staff.

MUTUAL RESPECT is written with capitals.
We have just two types of rooms: for boys and for girls.
The original biological gender is used for placements in the rooms.
If this is a problem, one can contact managerment.
All teachers must submit a Certificate of Good Conduct.

Our regulations are based on the international guidelines for teaching and guiding children.
Mobile phones + chargers can be brought to the camp.
During the class days, Monday to Friday, the phones are kept by our staff. During this time, they are charged
Every day, participants have 45 minutes to use their phones. This is usually after lunch time.
This allows them to message friends, update social media and call parents.
During the weekend, participants have their phones at their disposal the entire time.
My daughter Elif (14y) and my cousin Deniz (13y) had so much fun at Teen Camp. So good to see children from all around the world together at a beautiful place in Holland. It has been a great experience for them to be together with different cultures and nationalities. We are very grateful to the staff. The good lessons in the mornings and the lovely caring guidance during the rest of the day (and sometimes nights as well….) Great job!
I went to Teen Camp for two weeks in August. It was super fun. The lessons in the mornings were sometimes difficult, but that really improved my English. The activities after lunch were always so much fun. I will never forget the afternoons on the beach, blow carting is sensational. Food at the castle is also great. I’ll be back in summer 2020, together with my friend.
Our children Thomas (14) and Celina (12) had a wonderful time at Teen Camp. They for two weeks at Assumburg Castle. This beautiful place was an experience itself. Besides tje improvements of their English language skills, we were really impressed by the solidarity that was created in just two weeks. Even now, 4 months later, they are still in contact with the other participants. Thank you Teen Camp Staff!
