The nearest airport to Camp Cody is Boston Logan Airport. Airport pickup is available upon request. Many campers come to Cody from afar. Campers flying to Cody alone are required to be on a direct flight and should fly into Boston Logan International Airport. From there, campers will be welcomed inside the airport by Cody staff who will then accompany them on private buses and vans to our campus in Freedom, NH. The Cody Welcome Team ensures that campers arrive to Cody safely and promptly, and make the trip fun! It’s a great way for campers to get a jump-start on their camp experience and to make friends with other campers before even arriving on campus! Those campers flying into Boston Logan and using camp transportation should arrive one day prior to the start of their session.

My two sons went to Camp Cody in the 1990’s. They loved it! Now 2 of my grandchildren are going there. The summer of 2024 they went for a month. They are 7 and 9. Cody is a special place – the directors are amazing. The counselors are terrific. There is a photographer on staff and we got pictures daily so we could see what they were doing while having the time of their young lives.
We know they were having a blast – because they “forgot” to write us letters back. lol
Next year they’re going for 6 weeks and they cannot wait. The smiles and the joy on their faces said it all. Cody is THE BEST!
Our daughter went away from home for the first time at Cody and had the most wonderful time. She hadn’t known anyone, and my wife and I stressed out for a couple days before we started getting letters back that immediately indicated that everything was great. When I picked her up, everyone and her cabin and she were planning to return for twice as long next summer. Besides the fun, independence, and confidence, there also were lots of activities that she got exposure to that we can’t easily expose her to at home. She’s excited for next summer.
My daughter (13) and son (10) have attended 2-week sessions the last two summers at Camp Cody and they love it! Both years when we pick up the kids, they are begging to go back the next summer. The camp does a really great job engaging with the campers before and after their camp session through letter, emails, surprise packages, and Zoom calls if needed. While at camp, the parents are kept informed via daily photo streams, newsletters and camp letters from their kids. The kids have a great variety of activities to keep them busy – my kids like sailing the best. The counselors are great too! My son actually requested to have the same counselor next year. We are glad we chose Camp Cody and will be back next year!
My son (11) attended a 2-week session last summer at Camp Cody and loved it! The camp did a nice job engaging with the campers before the camp session through Zoom, which was appreciated since it was his first overnight camp experience. While at camp, we were kept informed through the app which is great and uses “face finder technology” to alert you when your camper is tagged in the 1000’s daily photos that are posted. There are endless activities and my son was “too busy to write many letters” which was a great indication of the counselors keeping him engaged. Best part, no screens! Next Summer, he’s returning for a 4 week session and can’t wait!
Camp Cody was our daughter’s first sleepaway camp experience at age 11. We cannot emphasize enough how much she loved it. She was not homesick, made new friends, loved the counselors and the food, felt comfortable, and most of all, tried new things and LOVED the activities every day, especially trampoline ball, lake/water activities, and arts and crafts. Every day seemed like the perfect mix of activities that were just right for her. She wants to go back longer this year!
