Application and Payment Terms These terms apply to our programmes (Services) and everything else managed by or on behalf of The Summer Fashion School London. Please ensure you have read and understood the following before booking with us. This policy includes third party bookings. Age Policy All our programmes (Services) specify an age range on our website. This is because they are tailored to your age and requirements, for example our 14-19’s have more emphasis on their fashion future and advancing their skills, whereas our 10-13’s are still finding their feet and the focus is on building their sewing and fashion skills whilst exploring their creativity. If you have applied and paid for a course and the student is under or over the specified age range, and without prior agreement from The Summer Fashion School London, you will, unfortunately, be turned away with no refund. We will always do our best to get in touch in advance if we believe you’re more suited to another programme, but ultimately this is down to you. Application form Students, parents and/or guardians must provide us with correct and up-to-date information on our secure online application form. The student name provided on the form will be used to support your UK visa application (if applicable) and will be printed on your certificate. If any of your information is incorrect, please let our team know immediately. If your UK Short-term study visa application is rejected due to conflicting or incorrect information provided to us by you, we reserve the right to cancel your application immediately and partially refund you if you have paid in full (the deposit is non-refundable under any circumstances. Please see below for more information). We are not liable for costs incurred before, during and after your application to enrol onto The Summer Fashion School London. If your certificate is printed with the incorrect name due to the information provided to us, we reserve the right to refuse reprint/replacement with another certificate. We may provide a corrected PDF version of the certificate via email at our discretion. Students obligations Students are expected to be on time for their sessions. We hold no liability for the loss of time due to lateness and will not offer you a catch-up session/add the time on later. During the programme, if you or your child (student) act in any way which we deem likely to cause harm or a nuisance to any person(s), you will be asked to leave and we will not be liable to refund you. Insurance We require students to be adequately covered by insurance against any risks that could occur during the whole period of their programme, including travelling to and from their place of origin, and we reserve the right to refuse any student if, at our sole discretion, the student is inadequately insured. Notwithstanding this clause, neither the student nor fee payer shall have any claim against The Summer Fashion School London in the event that insurance coverage is inadequate. We cannot be held responsible for any loss or injury caused to any person. Payments The course fees are paid in full through our booking system, Bookwhen. If full payment has not been made after this time, we reserve the right to cancel the booking and apply the appropriate cancellation fees. Payment is made securely online by credit/debit card – this is our preferred payment method as it is convenient and removes unnecessary bank transfer fees for our students. We do accept BACS payment, however, all bank charges must be covered by the fee payer and you will be billed accordingly (this is a very costly option as banks usually charge an additional fee of 3%+). We reserve the right to charge interest on invoices which remain unpaid at their due date of 3% above base rate. Refunds/Cancellations We understand that sometimes, due to a variety of reasons, you may need to cancel your reservation on the course. If you paid for the course in full when your application was confirmed, you can get a refund as detailed below. If you need to cancel due to Covid-19 related reasons: You have the right to cancel before 30 days of the start date of your programme. You will have a full refund. Within 14 days of your programme start date, if any of these reasons prevent you from attending, your place will be deferred until next year* (we will ask for proof to verify the reason,) such as: · You or a member of your household contracts COVID-19 · You have to quarantine before the course at the time of travel (due to last-minute change in local laws) · There is no travel available from your country to the UK If The Summer Fashion School is unable to take place due to a national lockdown affecting our services you will be eligible for a full refund (minus deposit) or you can defer until next year. If you are forced to cancel through illness or injury and you have bought travel insurance, then you will be able to claim on the insurance policy, subject to the policy’s terms and conditions and exclusions. For any other cancellation reason, our terms and conditions for refunds are as follows: Any cancellation must be received in a letter sent electronically and can only be for cancellations before your course start date where you have paid in full in advance.
