Korea International school (KIS) Summer Camp

Welcome to the KIS summer program
The KIS summer program is an opportunity for KIS students to choose an applied learning experience centered on their interests. KIS teachers lead two week sessions designed for discovery and connection as students explore a variety of subjects and activities. Session selections are age specific: the KIS summer program offers lower and upper elementary courses, middle school courses, and high school enrichment courses. The summer program allows family flexibility, offering two distinct two week sessions.

Summer Program Sessions

Kindergarten - Grade 2

Session 1: June 16-27
Little Ocean Explorers
Set sail on an ocean adventure! Young learners will explore marine life, habitats, and waves through hands-on science, arts, and storytelling. Engaging activities will spark curiosity, creativity, and teamwork. A special aquarium trip brings discoveries to life. Join us for a summer of exploration, play, and ocean fun!

Session 2: June 30 - July 11
Active Minds, Active Bodies
Students will build essential skills in this session through active play, hands-on learning, and creative exploration! They’ll climb, jump, and race through obstacle courses while tackling STEM challenges that boost coordination and precision. With movement, teamwork, and problem-solving, each day fosters confidence and growth. Join us for a summer of learning, laughter, and discovery!

Grade 3 - 5

Session 1: June 16-27
KIS Top Chef
Does your child love getting creative in the kitchen? At KIS Top Chef Summer Camp, young chefs will embark on a fun-filled culinary adventure, mastering no-bake recipes while building confidence in measuring, mixing, and assembling treats. With teamwork and creativity, campers will collaborate to craft an original recipe in a friendly competition. Sign up for a summer of delicious fun!

Session 2: June 30 - July 11
Superhero Camp
Campers will create secret identities, develop powers, and collaborate on exciting missions. They’ll build agility, problem-solving, and teamwork skills while designing unique costumes and high-tech gadgets. Along the way, they’ll foster perseverance, integrity, and critical thinking. Let your child unleash their imagination and become the hero they’ve always dreamed of being!

Grade 6 - 8

Session 1 or 2
Stream Science in Action
Discover the fascinating world of stream ecosystems right in our community! Students will become environmental scientists investigating water quality and stream life through hands-on experiments, microscope investigations, and field studies along the Tancheon. Activities include water testing, exploring microscopic life, creating watershed models, and designing water filters. Join us in learning about stream health while contributing to real environmental monitoring in our neighborhood.

Midsummer Magic
In this summer program, students explore Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream through drama activities and writing workshops, creating their own plays. They’ll build confidence in writing, performance, and public speaking while developing analytical skills. The program culminates in a showcase where students perform their original works, celebrating their growth and appreciation for classical literature.
