Übersicht
Expanish’s Summer Camp in Costa Rica brings together international students ages 12–17 for a fully immersive Spanish learning experience rooted in the country’s Pura Vida lifestyle. Teens study Spanish in small groups while living in an environment that encourages communication, confidence, and cultural connection.
The program blends language learning with cultural exploration and outdoor activities inspired by Costa Rica’s natural surroundings. With experienced staff, structured routines, and a strong focus on student well-being, the camp offers a safe, enriching summer where teens build Spanish skills, independence, and lasting international friendships.

Sprachunterricht
Our personalized and engaging educational program is designed to immerse students in a dynamic learning experience. Classes take place directly at the hotel in La Fortuna, where lessons integrate games, interaction, and real-world communicative practice.
A maximum of 15 students per class ensures strong teacher-student relationships, personalized attention, and frequent student participation.
Suitable for students from beginners (A1) to advanced (C2), with tailored instruction for every level.

Sunday – Arrival & Welcome
Arrival day with transfer to the residence and orientation. Students settle in, meet the group, and enjoy a welcome dinner and activity. Free time and rest.
Monday – Nature & Community
Morning outdoor experience such as a waterfall hike or transfer to La Fortuna. In the afternoon, Spanish classes begin. In the evening, enjoy a relaxed board games night. Free time and rest.
Tuesday – Sustainability & Culture
Spanish classes during the day. In the afternoon, take part in hands-on workshops focused on sustainability, eco-farming, and local cooking. Evening cultural activity, such as a Latin dance class. Free time and rest.
Wednesday – Community & Exploration
Spanish classes followed by an interactive workshop centered on community connection and environmental awareness. Evening outing for shopping, ice cream, or casual exploration. Free time and rest.
Thursday – Well-being & Leadership
Spanish classes during the day. In the afternoon, attend a leadership and sustainability workshop or enjoy a guided visit to natural hot springs. Evening group activity. Free time and rest.
Friday – Adventure & Farewell
Spanish classes followed by an optional adventure activity, such as zip lining or a local coffee tour. In the evening, celebrate with a talent show and farewell party. Free time and rest.
Saturday – Excursion Day
Full-day supervised excursion, such as whitewater rafting or a nature-based adventure. Evening free time and packing for departure.
Unterkunft & Einrichtungen
Campers stay at Hotel Faro Arenal, a family-run eco-property made up of charming cabins for
four students surrounded by tropical gardens and mountain views.

The nearest airport to Expanish Costa Rica Summer Camp is San José International Airport. Airport pickup is available upon request. ✈️Airport Transfers – Students must arrive at San José International Airport (SJO).Airport transfers are included in the program:● Arrival (Sunday): Students are picked up at SJO and transferred to the residence in SanJosé for their first night, orientation, and welcome dinner.● Transfer to La Fortuna (Monday): The group travels together from San José to LaFortuna to begin the camp.● Departure (Sunday): Students returning home are transferred back to San José onSaturday afternoon, stay overnight at the residence, and are taken to the airport onSunday early morning for their flights.Window arrival and departure times● Arrivals: Sundays, 12:00–18:00● Departures: Sundays, 6:00–14:00● Late arrivals/departures: €150 extraAll arrival and departure flight details must be provided at least 15 days before arrival.
