Overview
Spend a summer at Ranum International Summer Camps. You will have an amazing, fun and exciting summer holiday, while being challenged personally and academically!
Ranum Efterskole College is a Danish and International residential school located in picturesque West Himmerland in Denmark. Every year the school hosts various international Summer Camps for young people in the ages of 14-17 years old.
Participants will have the choice of our International Summer School for 1 to 4 weeks or one of several specialised camps for 1 to 2 weeks: Cheerleading, Dance and Basketball camps.
INTERNATIONAL SUMMER SCHOOL
Academic courses are taught in English and all participants will partake in English or Danish lessons during their stay. All participants will also choose between a wide variety of subjects. You can read more about the subjects here: Electives-International-Summer-School-2023_updated_dec2022.pdf (ranumefterskole.dk) In the afternoons, participants will also be given the choice between a wide variety of extracurricular activities available to them at the school. This will give them the opportunity to absorb lots of different experiences.
SUMMER CAMPS
Academic teaching much like the international summer school is both provided in Danish and English. Although, unlike the international summer school academics in our camps are focused on the topic of the chosen camp. This gives our participants the opportunity to immerse themselves in their chosen subject. Afternoons will be dedicated to the practical activity of the camp, whether that is sailing, watching the sunset at the beach, bonfire, outdoor living or creating artworks.
All programmes include:
- Accommodation in studio with 2 to 5 room-mates
- 3 meals and refreshments each day
- Academic subjects, extracurricular and activities
- Excursion to heritage sites in Denmark
- Transfer to and from Aalborg International Airport
- A welcome package (t-shirt, water bottle, keyhanger and hoodie)
- Teachers and staff available at all times
- Study trips to Copenhagen and Odense, Hamburg or Malmö
- A personal mentor/contact/ group teacher.
- All programmes do not include health insurance or liability Insurance

Summer Camp activities will focus on strengthening skills within the chosen camp but will join the International Summer School programme in extracurricular activities in late afternoons/evenings.

I’ve experienced things that I never thought possible and have made life-long friends. Ranum is such a happy place and an experience that I will never forget. It shaped my life in such a positive way and I discovered who I am and what I want in life.
Ranum International Summer School was another world with a big family and lots of adventures. I made friends from all over the world and I got to know a very special school system. I studied English and Science and I fell in love with Sailing which I’d never tried before. I think it’s a unique experience which lasts a lifetime and I can’t compare it to anything in my life. I want to go back
