Traidhos Virtual Camp Adventures
The alternative to your usual summer camp experience. Participate in many of the usual camp elements with the ethos of Traidhos Camp, from your own home!
While the need to restrict travel and practice social distancing remains in place, Traidhos staff are excited to provide three two- week programs (0900 – 1200 Monday – Friday ( thai time) of interactive educational activity that will allow you to meet other participants and safely interact with our knowledgeable staff.

The price includes structured activity delivered by full time educators, support material and a certificate of completion.

On receiving your registration you will be sent a simple equipment list that will be needed for full participation in this virtual holiday program.

Session 1: Journey through Thailand
with environmental educators originally from UK, USA, Holland, China and Thailand. staff (https://barge.threegeneration.org/staff-profiles)

Date: 15 – 19 June, 22 – 26 June 2020 (10 day program)
Time: 0900 – 1200 (Thai time, GMT+6)

Suitable for students who are interested in nature and environmental issues, who want to think about ways to take personal action and to live a more sustainable life, and who want to make friends and have fun playing and learning together in a virtual camp. This is designed to be a 10 day camp program.
Description: Collect your virtual passport and set off on your journey that will take you to find out about Thailand’s natural places. Each day, you will travel the rivers and mountains of Thailand, journeying south via National Parks until you reach the sea. On the way, discover some amazing facts about the creatures that live there, investigate how human’s are impacting the environment and connect to the unique culture of Thailand.
During the journey, you will play games with other participants, complete challenges on and off screen, refer to the sustainable development goals participate in discussions and reflections facilitated by Traidhos staff, take part in role play and enjoy an end of trip virtual campfire.
You will receive a certificate of participation at the end of the trip and will collect stamps to record your virtual travels in your special passport after each location.

Materials
Participants will receive electronic files with activities to do at home, that support the virtual camp learning which should be completed before or after each on-screen day. These activities allow the fun and learning to continue both online and offline.
An equipment list will be sent once registration and payment has been received.
Equipment will be the sorts of things found in most homes: basic stationary (paper, cardboard, tape, pens, glue) and some ingredients from your kitchen depending on the virtual adventure that you select.

Session 2a: Wacky Wizard Week

Date: 29 June – 3 July, (5 day program) expected to combine with Superhero Academy Camp

Suitable for students who aspire to be junior wizards and who enjoy being creative; who want to meet new friends with similar interests and who like to have fun together.

Description:
Traidhos Wacky Wizard Week takes place both on screen interacting in real time and with off screen challenges. This allows participants to interact and learn with each other and our facilitating staff.

Traidhos virtual summer camp is a mixture of interactive group games that you can play from your home, and activities that you will complete and share with your professional camp staff.

Each morning of wizard camp, you will attend Wizard School, including “classes” in herbology, potions, care of magical creatures and Muggle studies. You will be assigned to a house and work collaboratively with your house members to earn points as you complete different challenges. During this time you will learn more about working in a team, develop confidence to speak out and use your imagination to make potions, learn about ancient mythical beasts, properties of plants and practical skills every wizard needs to accomplish.

Suitable for virtual campers who love superheroes or who want to discover their own superhero qualities. This camp program provides you to develop your skills and talents through some STEM activity, problem solving, mindfulness practice and group games. Meet new friends and have fun with the Traidhos Camp staff.

Description:
Traidhos Superhero Academy takes place both on screen interacting in real time and with off screen challenges. This allows participants to interact and learn with each other and with our facilitating camp staff.

This Traidhos virtual summer program is a mixture of interactive group games that you can play from your home, and activities that you will complete and share with our full time camp staff. You can see them at: https://camps.threegeneration.org/about.php

Each morning at the Superhero Academy, you will have a high energy menu of structured activities debriefed with small group reflections. There will be things to construct, personal challenges to achieve and projects needing thought and cooperation with other participants. You will also discover more about superheroes from around the world and consider the qualities of real life heroes.

During this time you will learn more about working in a team, develop confidence to speak out and develop skills to help you be a hero amongst your friends and family.
You will receive a certificate of participation at the end of the week.

Suitable for students who want to interact with native English speakers and other campers to become more confident users of English, especially speaking and listening. This camp would suit students who want to practice reading and writing as it arises in everyday life and through the activities which are designed to promote language use.

Description:
Each day Traidhos Virtual English and Environment Camp will structure a range of games which promote the use of English language, teach a grammatical structure and use language to complete activities that build on what the children already know. The activities will be supported with worksheets that can be completed during the on screen time but also as additional activity after the screen time. Students will be encouraged to use English to observe, record, question and reflect on the things around them in their immediate environments. Each virtual camp day will involve interaction with other campers during games. The camp will end with a virtual campfire and talent show. Virtual English Camp will be facilitated by qualified Traidhos staff holding appropriate qualifications for teaching English and with experience of on-line teaching.
You will receive a certificate of participation at the end of the trip.
